INTRODUCING: ALMOST AUTUMN
Almost Autumn is the name of the project from singer-songwriter, Joelle Marianne. Rapidly emerging her way into the music world through the likes of BBC Music Introducing and Bandcamp; Not only does she write and produce her tracks herself; she also releases them under her own label, Rain Or Shine Records.
Throughout this month, Joelle has added a bunch of new singles to Almost Autumn’s discography, covering themes of love, the weather, heartbreak and life in Liverpool. With soft, ethereal vocals, subtle acoustic guitar and piano melodies, the new material is bound to sweep you off your feet. ‘Blue Angel’, the latest track, is the romantic yet tragic story of young love where you have nothing but each other. Then distance and other life complications get in the way. If a vivid love story over a cosy, simply chord progression won’t make you want to fall in love, nothing will.
‘6am’ incorporates pop influences such as layered vocals and synths next to conflicting lyrics about a difficult dynamic with a bad boy type who puts in the bare minimum but still has something about him that makes it impossible to let go. Something we can all relate to with decision making and listening to your heart over your head.
Experimenting with strings, layers, backing vocals, various vocal styles and more, Joelle is on her way to building a definite name for herself in the acoustic-pop scene with exciting new material popping up all over the place, from her very own home.
