DISSONANTS - NESCIENT EP

Emerging from the heart of Southampton are local rockers Dissonants with a brand new EP. Formed only 3 short years ago, Dissonants have made a large impact on an ever changing and growing music scene, appealing to fans of alternative and metal music and playing all around the UK with the likes of Skywalker and Rxptrs.
Despite having a relatively tame introduction, ‘Forget To Forgive’ isn’t shy of grudge-holding lyrics, melodic lead guitar riffs and a clean vocal delivery. The chorus “I will spill my blood across the sky… if I ever get the chance again, I won’t forgive and I won’t forget...” pours out some of the deeper emotions expressed on the EP.
‘Nescient’ steps it up a notch combining various vocal styles including multiple voices singing together and screaming during the second verse and explicit lyrics in the chorus. “Hide the fucking truth away as the world goes up in flames.” ‘Nescient’ is a frustrated hit back at the state of current affairs and what we are yet to experience in the future regarding sustainable living and COVID and what may or may not be left for our children; the perfect track for jumping around to let off some steam.
Dissonants, like most musicians, have had a tough year. At least now the EP is done and ready to be released out of its cage ready to give fans a little taste of what’s to come when live shows finally make a comeback. Combining new musical elements within their original and best loved sounds, they've made an EP that strikes a chord with whatever mood you’re feeling, keeping us all connected and hopeful for the future of music.
