London’s streets were buzzing, plastered with bold Keep Me Fed tour posters, as fans of The Warning geared up for the Mexican rock trio’s biggest UK headlining show yet — a sold-out night at the legendary O2 Brixton Academy. With Sophie Lloyd opening the evening, the energy inside the venue built fast and never let up.
Sophie Lloyd, known for her blazing guitar work and collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly, set the tone with a high-octane set. Joined by vocalist Marisa Rodriguez, Sophie kicked things off with a blistering Top Gun guitar solo that had jaws dropping and phones lighting up across the crowd. She delivered a powerful set that included five original tracks from her 2023 album Imposter Syndrome, alongside singles ‘Runaway’ and ‘Do or Die’. A surprise cover of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ sent the crowd into a frenzy, and by the time her set closed, Sophie had left a strong mark on Brixton.
As lights dimmed and the anticipation hit its peak, the roar from the crowd was deafening. The Warning—Dany (vocals, guitar), Alejandra (bass), and Paulina (drums/vocals)—stormed the stage to a wall of sound and flashing LED screens, kicking off with ‘Six Feet Deep’. The entire venue erupted, and it stayed that way all night.
They rolled straight into their fresh track ‘S!CK’, with fans of all ages headbanging and jumping in unison. Mid-set highlights like ‘Satisfied’ and ‘Escapism’ showed off the band’s evolving sound and powerful presence. One fan screamed, “Now that’s The fucking Warning!”—and honestly, they couldn’t have said it better.
The energy spiked even higher with a performance of fan-favorite ‘Apologize’, and just when it felt like the band had hit full throttle, they proved there was still more in the tank. Dany took center stage with an emotional solo, blending melodies from past tracks into a stunning moment of vulnerability before her sisters rejoined her for a medley of ERROR-era anthems, including ‘CHOKE’ and ‘MONEY’. The latter transformed into a wild chant battle, with fans shouting “money” and “cash” from either side of the venue.
Paulina wowed with her dual vocal-drum performance on Survive, and then came a heartfelt nod to their hometown with ‘Qué Más Quieres’, a Spanish track that saw Dany wielding a custom mustard yellow Manson ORYX—gifted to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse. Despite many in the crowd not knowing the lyrics, the love and energy didn’t drop for a second.
The set charged forward with tracks like ‘Consume’ and ‘Burnout’, each one received like a stadium anthem. Then, for the first time all night, a hush fell over the crowd. The stage went black… only to light up again with Alejandra front and center, launching into ‘DISCIPLE’. Paulina’s vocals soared through the bridge, and the crowd became one with the band in the pre-chorus chant.
‘Martirio’, their second fully Spanish song of the night, brought another cultural moment, and while the lyrics were unfamiliar to many, the passion in the room was universal.
“This show is quite a milestone for us,” Paulina said from behind her kit. “It’s our biggest headlining show outside of Mexico. We’re just three sisters from Monterrey who want to share our music with you.”
The night seemed to wrap with a thunderous version of ‘Evolve’, but no one in the room believed it was truly over. Chants of “one more song” and “olé, olé, olé” filled the space until the sisters returned to wild cheers, launching into ‘Narcisista’.
Finally, they closed with ‘Automatic Sun’, and the crowd delivered just as much as the band. The floor of Brixton felt like it could crack beneath the bouncing of the fans, all shouting every word like it was their own anthem.
The Warning left the stage visibly moved, and the audience knew they’d just witnessed something special. This wasn’t just a gig—it was a declaration. And if Brixton was the biggest show so far, it’s safe to say it won’t hold that title for long.
