Stand Atlantic made their return to Southampton this month with a sold-out show at The 1865 and a stellar line-up to accompany them. Kicking things off were fellow Australians Slowly Slowly, who warmed the crowd up with steady energy and infectious sing-along-worthy songs.

Honey Revenge set the standard for the rest of the night, calling out security just a couple of songs into their short set, fighting for the safety of their fans with the lack of security's involvement with crowd surfers. They didn't let this dampen the mood however as the endless energy and enthusiasm from vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd never faltered for even a second. With their infectious branding and lyrics that get stuck in your head, Honey Revenge know what they're doing and they do it well which is something fans take away from every single performance.

With a flood of red, Stand Atlantic’s vocalist Bonnie Fraser enters the stage alone for the opening of ‘WAKE UP-SIT DOWN-SHUT UP’, shortly followed by the rest of the band. A packed-out room welcomed them by instantly singing along to every word from their latest album, WAS HERE, and mosh pits opened up at the band’s request showing that the crowd was in the palm of their hand for the night.

Fraser’s carefree and playful attitude comes across throughout their set with forgotten song lyrics and bumbling jokes keeping the energy high. Wrapping up the set with crowd favourite ‘Coffee At Midnight’, the sold-out crowd sang the lyrics, and even the whoa’s, with as much energy as they started the set with. From start to finish, Stand Atlantic proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. For a band that can seamlessly switch between genres with a fanbase that is just as dedicated, there’s no stopping them now that they’ve started. It’s Stand Atlantic against the world and we’re totally here for it.
