Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, O’Malley is beginning to find her niche as a solo singer-songwriter with the release of new EP.

After playing in various bands prior to releasing solo material, O’Malley released her debut EP Cheers, last year. With the new EP There's Always More To Show, O’Malley has started to find her niche with writing solo music, saying ‘I’m so grateful to finally be putting out an EP with a full band sound.’

Covering heart-felt, sensitive topics alongside 60s inspired clean guitar melodies and soft vocals, O’Malley creates a soothing yet sad atmosphere. As fun as it sounds, 'Hello Kitty Radio' talks about something far from it. With a melancholic, repetitive riff in the background, O’Malley discusses how it feels to have been abused as a child and the heartbreak of seeing a harmful situation for what it really is.

Lyrically, the EP is touching, personal and will make you shed a tear. All of the tracks find a way to connect deeper to you. There is room for improvement within the music, with tracks like ‘Leetlow’ and ‘That Scares Me!!!” having basic rhythms and over-powering guitar riffs which drown out the vocals. Exploration with more complicated sounds and techniques will come with further experiments with solo material.

There’s Always More Show is a beautiful composed EP that provokes your mind positively and demonstrates strength and courage in using music to express deeper feelings. Put the kettle on, you’ll need a cup of tea and a hug after this.
