British rock band Boston Manor have released their third album titled Glue that features singles such as ‘Everything is Ordinary’ , ‘Ratking’, and Plasticine Dreams’.

Opening with the slower ‘Everything is Ordinary’, the track includes heavy drums, bass and electric sounds, keeping true to the rock/punk genre by featuring heavy guitar and angsty vocals.

Sonically, the album flows together really well. It starts off a little slower with ‘Everything is Ordinary’ and gets faster, with more heavy-hitting rock songs in the middle, slowing down again at the end.

Overall, this album is relatable. The guys are truly expressing their deepest emotions in their music and allowing the listener to feel it along with them. These emotions range from anger to sadness and yearning, but then are balanced out with slower indie songs or power ballads that feel like a breath of fresh air. Boston Manor is a multifaceted, well-rounded rock group and they display that well throughout their discography.

The songwriting process for each song is different so in a way, each is unique. It would be difficult to categorise this album with a single genre or word, because Boston Manor explores various styles throughout it. If you’re into rock that isn’t afraid to experiment with different sounds, instruments, and tempos, this album is definitely for you.
