Introduce yourself!
Hey, I’m clide, I’m a 20 year old artist living in Berlin.
How would you describe your music to a potential listener?
Real, emotional, innovative.
Since being an artist, do you feel it has grown in the direction you hoped for, or has there been any setbacks?
It definitely has! I think there are always setbacks and they might not even be obvious from the outside, but everybody is struggling or doubting at some point, but in general I have a deep faith and things are going really good!.
Which tracks are you most proud of to date and why?
All of the songs I end up releasing are really special to me, but I am very proud of “blank space” and “WYL”, because they come from a very real and pure place and are completely self written. Also I am super proud of “broken parts” which I co-wrote, because I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve written so far.
Where do you feel you fit in in an ever changing and demanding music scene?
I think the music scene is always demanding and crowded with many talented people and because it’s so easy to create music nowadays more and more talented artists are rising. I think the key is to stay true to yourself and to keep creating music that matters to you, while always looking for new ways to express yourself. If you do that constantly, you will find an audience that shares those experiences with you and will relate to the art you are creating.
Do you have any tips for keeping your mental health in check throughout this period of time?
I think I am also figuring it out right now. An important thing I’ve learnt and trying to live by is the fact that you don’t need anybody but yourself. Not in an arrogant sense, but in a way of being happy with where you’re at right now and not making that dependent on other circumstances and people. I think loving yourself and learning to be happy alone is something everybody should work on to be in a good mental space.
What issues are important to you? How do you use your music and platform to communicate these?
In my music I mostly talk about personal experiences and emotions, using that as an outlet. I am creating this because I want to bring value to others and make them find comfort and healing in it. Something that matters to me a lot is people realizing their potential. I am just a kid doing what I really love and what brings me happiness. If you find your passion and go hard on it, I believe you can always make a living of it. It makes me sad that social conventions make so many people do things for most of their lives that’s not really fulfilling them. I encourage everybody to listen to their intuition and curiosity to find something they are really passionate about, instead of doing what they are “supposed to”. Dreams CAN come true!

What’s one song you wish you could have written?

If you could tour with anyone, who would it be?
Probably Post Malone, or G-Eazy but there are many artists I look up to and wouldn’t mind touring with hahah!
What should your fans be expecting from your band in the near future?
So much more music. I’m finishing the second EP right now! 2021 is gonna be exciting!
