EXCLUSIVE: CLAMS DELAY ALBUM, RELEASE EP SERIES
We all know that Coronavirus outbreak has drastically impacted musicians across the globe, swapping touring and album releases for social distancing to keep everyone safe.
Clams know this all too well. Having to cancel their album launch gig that was scheduled for earlier this week, the Wimborne based rockers have decided to postpone the release of their upcoming album, Stone Lane, as “the current situation meant that we had to cancel our launch gig. We thought it best to delay the release of the album until we can do the launch properly again,” explains vocalist Rich Peacock.
Instead of this release, the band are treating fans to a little something different to keep them going through these difficult times, and are now releasing a two part EP series, The Road To Stone Lane over the coming months. Each of these EPs will each include 5 tracks from the upcoming album, with the full-length being dropped later on tin the year.
The first official release from part 1 of The Road To Stone Lane is the single ‘Worn and Torn’, due out this Wednesday, April 8th. A track that “made the perfect choice for the second single” according to Peacock, as it “has an immediate opening with all of the band coming in straight away which demands the listener to pay attention”, and there’s no denying that.
The track opens up immediately with the full band playing, before switching up into their typical “raw and dirty” riffs with a heavy groove thirty seconds in. Peacock’s signature vocals discusses the struggles of having little to no money, “no food on the table”, yet needing to let loose and have a good time despite that. ‘Worn and Torn’ is a classic rock anthem which will make you want to kick back and have a groove when it’s released this Wednesday, April 8th.
